John is a partner at the Hood Law Firm, LLC. He focuses his practice on civil litigation, including products liability defense, medical malpractice defense, hospitality, trucking/transportation, and construction/insurance. John has taken multiple cases to verdict across South Carolina.
Prior to joining the Hood Law Firm in 2014, John worked for a large firm in Boston, Massachusetts, where he gained significant trial experience as lead counsel in courts across the Commonwealth. After law school, John served as law clerk to the Honorable R. Ferrell Cothran, Jr., of the Third Judicial Circuit in Manning, South Carolina.

John is originally from Augusta, GA. He currently lives in Mount Pleasant, SC with his wife and two children. When not practicing law, John enjoys fly fishing, running, and various other outdoor pursuits.
