ABOUT THE HOOD LAW FIRM
Hood Law Firm, LLC was established in 1985 by Charleston attorney Robert H. Hood, formerly a partner in the law firm of Sinkler, Gibbs & Simons. Specializing exclusively in civil litigation cases, the firm has grown rapidly since its inception and continues to grow to meet the needs of its diverse clients.
The majority of the firm's practice involves the defense of negligence and personal injury cases, specifically in the areas of professional malpractice, insurance (including coverage disputes), toxic torts including asbestos, automobile accidents, general negligence, products liability including mold litigation, admiralty, securities, health care, hospital law, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, premise liability and transportation and trucking cases, including appellate work in state and federal appeals courts. Other types of cases include commercial, banking, business litigation, employment disputes, sexual discrimination, civil rights and constitutional claims, collections and construction cases. The firm occasionally handles plaintiff's cases involving contract disputes, commercial litigation involving major damages, serious personal injury and products liability, when there is no conflict of interest.
